Taro patch fiddle?

An interesting and enjoyable history of the ukulele, from its 19th century roots in the Portuguese machete through its use by the likes of Jake Shimabakuro and James Hill in the 21st century. I enjoyed and found relevant the Hawai’ian history which is scattered throughout. Also includes plenty of well-reproduced (in black and white) illustrations of persons, instruments, and period advertisements.
