Wild Dark Shore

Read this in German. Very thrilling, lots of mystery and beautiful scenery. The storyline about family and love has most depth, but is overshadowed by the over compressed action storyline which isnt always plausible... For the film into which the book will be turned, this over dramatisation is expected. In the book it is frustrating. A very enjoyable read nonetheless.

Heavy, but I enjoyed it. Very focused on what it means to be a family, single parenthood, kids forced to parent their siblings… and whether it’s right to have kids in a world on the edge of catastrophe
