Typically interested in Sci/Fi, for the most part, but read some fantasy, Greek Classics, the occasional biography if it is someone I care about. Science related non-fiction is good and Horror is good too.

Reading is for relaxation for me so I often don't read the most difficult fair. I do challenge myself from time to time.

I am looking for good narratives describing Hell as a literal place. (like The Inferno)

I am not Nurotipical.

Expect the Unexpected (2021, National Geographic Society) 5 stars

Not About the Pandemic, More about who he is.

5 stars

What a wonderful person. Not that Dr. Fauci didn't get plenty of reward from his work but the challenge he saw throughout his career and frankly his life was outstanding. This man could have given up at any moment, but time after time he choose what he saw as the best path. He often saute counsel, and heeded the wisdom of others but always had the betterment of others at heart. I believe this was one of the rare few that truly gave willingly of himself without regard to his own well being.

Excellent book. Please get the book. Library, Book store, or where ever you can it is short, uplifting and worth the time.

Pandering and Ablest

I get it Dr. Grossberg has all the credentials in the world but that does not mean she has any clue how to talk to people on the spectrum and this book is a clear example of that. She regularly uses idioms I had to look up a few of them myself this is something I have always had trouble with. Her "advise" in way to many situations is just hide your disability to make other people more comfortable. So it is okay to ask a person in a wheelchair to act like they can walk just so I can feel more comfortable. I think not. I finished the book looking for a sentence or paragraph that wasn't offensive sadly I didn't find it. It is clear why she is so quick to recommend the hate group Autism Speaks. Save time and money Steer Clear of this one.

Connecting With The Autism Spectrum (Paperback, 2020, Rockridge Press) 5 stars

Must Read for anyone who knows someone on the spectrum (that is everyone)

5 stars

If you know it or not, you know someone on the spectrum. It is currently predicted that 1 in 88 adults have some form of ASD (Autism Spectrum Disorder) Some of us much more profoundly effected than others but all of us have wants needs and would like to be heard and understood. Please pick up this book. This is well written by someone on the spectrum and gives some great incite into the life of one person with ASD, and can give the person with the nurotypical brain some incite on how to hear us, understand us and help us relate to you with out fear of offending and to make life better for both of us. While the saying is true if you have met one person with Autism you have met one person with Autism, there are a few common threads that run through many of our …

Better than expected

I saw a lot of bad reviews for this one that I really didn't think it deserved. I found it to be rather engaging. I had a connection with the characters, and perhaps that was part of the problem for some. I am just as guilty as other of not liking a story because I cannot enjoy the struggle of the people that are in it, but in this case these people are so real, so feeling, so giving you always want for them what they cannot have.

Given the the scope of the endeavor and the lesson it uncovers about the nature of us it is no wonder that many did not want to understand. Or perhaps it was just to complex for them to truly grasp the beauty of the art taken as a whole, but if you have the courage I highly recommend this. Just be ready …

I have read this a few times in the past, this really is a long time Fav. I am not going to give a star rating right now just because I don't feel I could do an objective job of it.

One thing I would want everyone to know going into this. Just in case you don't already know and it is not immediately obvious this is satire. Know its time and place and do not judge to harshly.

Needed Diversion

5 stars

This is not a terribly challenging book. If you like Who donnit with some fantasy sci-fi twist this really is a great book. This author is amazing.

This feels a little like Harry Dresden's Great Great Grand Nephew but if you like those books these will be great too.

So glad I found this story and I am looking forward to the next one.

Gave this 5 stars because it was fun to read there was no glaring problems in the plot. The need to suspend disbelief was light due to setting (time and place). Characters seemed plausible and relatabilly flawed
